Autumn I might love you 0
Falling into Autumn,
with her warm embrace of late afternoons,
filled with the neon glow,
of natures sign that the seasons are changing.
I whisper into the wind,
and wait for it to travel over seas
Our bodies of water,
left still after the storm
I sing, sweet nothings,
with a breathy understanding,
that some days are colder than others.
A summer surprise, with honest reprise.
an allegory of enemy,
Nocturnal submission to
an owls wisdom,
that there’s something special in the morning light.
Nesting in the surrounding trash,
you found comfort in the colors,
The brave passion of red,
left you empty inside,
this shapeless meaning of definition.
Facets of memories,
rusting in their rebirth,
a remix of ideas,
into simple recipes.
Years of practice made perfect seem cheap
A line that’s drawn,
leading you back to yesterdays tomorrow
Shes feels it now,
in the goosebumps on her arms,
and the hairs that stand up on her knees,
A Blonde Retriever,
whose dirty coat curled at the ends,
Soft to the touch,
with a warmth that radiated deeper
Walking barefoot to the seas edge,
we built boats out of bottles
riding the currents,
the hot as it rises,
and resting in the cool understanding of depth
snokels with masks,
with suits for summer,
A black tie,
that would not be broken.
Knotted in decision,
complicated by choice,
There is no reset,
only relocate, and reinvent.
there is only new beginnings,
and old memories,
that you draw close,
in the new light of dawn.
pulling on cigarettes,
and pushing bad habits out of practice
there’s something new about tomorrow
that I’m excited to see
I like the warmth I feel with you
and long to feel the cold on my face
short nights,
and long dinners,
as we chase the setting sun.
Pushing time back,
to when things were easy,
following your shadow,
to a place of rest.
there is no end,
only new beginnings.
